Finalist for Outstanding Customer Service in the 2015 McLaren Vale Business Association Regional Awards

Becoming a finalist in this category is an enormous honour for the Torresan family and we are truly fortunate to be able to work in a wonderful region like McLaren Vale. We would especially like to thank our customers and of course our staff as without them we would not be the business that we are today.

Service excellence plays an essential role in our day to day interactions with our customers.  Over the phone or face to face, each interaction is an opportunity for our company to provide a lasting impression that reminds our customers of the reasons why they do business with us. Our aim is to bring a “personal touch” to each client that we deal with, and we treat them and their product with real importance, as opposed to treating them as just another number in the queue. Bearing this in mind our goal is to put our customers first and to do whatever we can to help them with their request.  If you would like a personal tour or to find out more please contact

AWRI Tests DO levels
Our results amongst the best in Australia/NZ

The Australian Wine Research Institue has recently conducted some tests on Torresan Estates bottling line at their McLaren Vale facility.

The results of this audit indicate that Torresan's have achieved a TPO value of 1.27 mg/L. This is an excellent result as shown in the graph below, other bottling lines that the AWRI have audited have recorded results in excess of 1.5mg/L, with the majority being 2 mg/L or greater.

The breakdown of TPO (Total Package Oxygen) was a dissolved oxygen level of 0.35 mg/L, and a headspace oxygen level 0.92 mg/L. this indicates that the N2 gas headspace treatment is working very effectively, and the DO pick-up is best practice.

A great result for Torresan Estate and its customers.

April 2012 - Organic Certification
At Torresan Estate we are proud of our internationally recognised certifications. Our recent acquisition of Organic accreditation through NASAA is no exception. With this certification we are able to ensure the integrity of organically certified wines from receival, processing, storage and delivery of packaged wine.
In particular Organic standards and certification ensures organic principles are maintained right through the supply chain for the delivery of high quality and ethical products.  This offers our customers peace of mind when entrusting their packaging requirements with us.  To date, feedback from customers has been overwhelmingly positive.
April 2011   -   Building Expansion
It is a significant day for a busines when it realises that a larger facility is required.  Whether more storage space is needed for warehousing or the production workshop needs to expand, it is a sign of a growing business.
Torresan Estate reached this milestone in late 2010.  Finished goods were being stored from floor to ceiling wherever they could fit to make room for the next production run. With the increasing volume of packaged wine that Torresan's have produced over the past few years, and the projected volume for 2011 and 2012, it was clear that more space was needed.
In mid 2010, the plans were put in place and approval was given for a 1800 square metre building expansion. The expansion will include a canopy over the loading in/out area, undercover glass storage, increased warehousing and an upgrade to our entrance.  The new expansion will be done in 4 stages with stage 1 nearing completion and stage 2 currently underway.  All stages are to be completed by mid 2011.

November 2008   -   New Stelvin Lux Capper Installed

Torresan Estate are pleased to announce the installation of their new LUX capping Machine. This brand new machine will now add greater flexibility and further options to our line giving customers even greater choice with their bottling options.

Stelvin or Stelvin Lux?  So what is the difference between these two caps?  The traditional stelvin looks like your standard screwcap with visible screw threads on the top of the cap which are created when the capping machine clamps down on the cap and the rollers form the thread against the surface of the glass.

The stelvin Lux contains a plastic thread inside the cap which gives a smoother look on the outside. A sophisticated plastic insert and inner liner result in a tight seal without being visually evident on the outside of the cap.

So you be the judge as to which you prefer.  The great news is that Torresan Estate can offer both Stelvin and Stelvin Lux options for your bottle capping.

We would love to show you our state of the art bottling facility.  If you would like a personal tour please contact

Caring for the Environment

The Martins Road facility has been approved by the Environment, Resources and Development Court of South Australia and will feature extensive beautification and tree planting, three 47,000 litre tanks to capture rain water off the roof, which will be recycled to water the landscaping and the adjoining vineyard, and the recycling of water used for cleaning and bottling.

The Torresan family are very committed to sound environmental practises and the McLaren Vale region. As a result they are using biodegradable detergents and oils, eliminating the use of water for sterilising bottles by using a blast of sterile air, at the same time drastically reducing the total amount of water used.
