Payroll & Accounts Officer

Fantastic opportunity to join an expanding family business in the Wine Packaging Industry.

Main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Weekly Payroll processing & associated reconciliations / reports
  • End of month payroll processes including lodging super, payroll tax, RTW and payroll reports
  • Bank reconciliations
  • End of financial year reconciliations and reporting
  • Management of employee files
  • Interpreting awards and answering payroll questions
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (including collections)
  • Processing of accounts payable invoices 
  • Co-ordinating payments including statement reconciliation 
  • Other administrative functions as required by management

We are looking for someone who has / is:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll and accounts
  • Excellent knowledge of MYOB 
  • Knowledge of the Wine Industry Award is advantageous
  • Knowledge of e-Pay-Day Payroll software is advantageous
  • A strong organiser who has drive and is consistently reliable
  • Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to work individually and demonstrate initiative
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel 
  • An enthusiastic and approachable attitude
  • Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work permit 

This is a casual part time position with the potential to convert to a contract for the right candidate, working 2-3 days per week in McLaren Vale for an immediate start.

Casual Wine Packaging Operator

Working as part of a small team you will ideally have experience operating packaging equipment in a food or beverage environment.

We are seeking people who have passion for learning and being part of a strong achieving team culture providing excellent service for our customers.    

You will need to demonstrate your strength in the following competencies:

  • Production operations and supporting work process procedures
  • Manufacturing Excellence practices
  • Previous wine bottling/labelling/packaging or Fast Moving Consumer Goods experience
  • Customer focused
  • Understanding of HACCP and or food safety and quality procedures
  • Committed to safe methods of work 
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment
  • Learning agility
  • Flexibility to undertake varying work tasks
  • Hold a current Forklift Licence (preferable)
  • Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid Australian work permit 

For an immediate start working day shift hours Mon-Fri in McLaren Vale.
